History Teacher (A Level)

About the role

GEMS Wellington Academy, Al Khail is seeking an enthusiastic History Teacher to deliver A Level History to its students. The role offers a vibrant teaching environment in Dubai, with access to professional development and global career pathways within the GEMS network.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess A Level History lessons in line with curriculum standards.
• Develop engaging learning resources and incorporate technology to enhance classroom experience.
• Monitor student progress, provide feedback and support individual learning needs.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student achievement.
• Share best teaching practices with colleagues and contribute to school-wide initiatives.

Required profile

• B.Ed or subject‑related degree with PGCE/PGDE or equivalent qualification.
• Proven ability to teach A Level History.
• Creative and enthusiastic approach both inside and outside the classroom.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interaction with students and parents.

Required skills

• Proficiency in using IT tools for teaching and assessment.
