Homeroom Teacher – Abdulla Bin Otaiba Charter School (AY 26/27)

About the role

The school seeks a Homeroom Teacher to deliver inspiring, inclusive lessons that enable every child to make maximum progress. The role involves building positive relationships with students, parents, and staff while upholding the school’s values and ethos.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons that meet curriculum requirements and cater for a mixed‑ability class.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers, support staff and specialists to enhance student learning.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school’s policy and provide constructive feedback to parents.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject with a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
• 1–2 years of teaching experience, preferably with students for whom English is an additional language.
• Clean enhanced DBS/police check and willingness to reside in the emirate of the assigned school.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Target Tracker assessment system for recording student progress.
• Experience using CPOMS for parent‑teacher communication and safeguarding records.
