Hostess – Guest Service Host

About the role

The Hostess ensures a welcoming and efficient dining experience for guests at W Hotels. You will greet visitors, manage seating, and maintain a clean, organized environment throughout the restaurant floor.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests, determine party size, and seat them by pulling out chairs and providing a clean, current menu.
• Guide guests through the dining area, offering assistance as needed and arranging tables for groups with special requirements.
• Maintain appropriate place settings, ensuring each guest has a napkin, clean silverware, and any other standard items.
• Check menus for cleanliness, currentness, and proper presentation.
• Practice clean‑as‑you‑go procedures to keep work areas tidy and monitor the dining room for seating availability, safety, and guest well‑being.
• Follow all company safety and security policies, report accidents, and complete required safety training.
• Maintain a professional uniform and personal appearance, and communicate clearly with guests and team members.
• Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods and lift or carry objects up to 10 lb without assistance.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• No prior related work experience required.
• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for long periods and lift objects up to 10 lb.
• Professional appearance, confidentiality, and clear, courteous communication skills.
