Hotel Painter – Maintenance Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Painter to join the maintenance team at Beach Rotana in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on preserving the aesthetic standards of guest rooms, public areas, back‑of‑house spaces and hotel furniture through high‑quality painting and polishing work.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and refresh decorations, furniture and surfaces across guest rooms, public areas and external hotel zones.
• Prepare surfaces by covering, masking, filling cracks, sanding and applying primers or sealers.
• Mix paints, stains or varnishes to achieve required colours and consistencies.
• Apply finishes using brushes, rollers or spray guns, ensuring even coverage.
• Erect scaffolding and ladders safely in accordance with codes.
• Polish and refinish wood furniture using hand polish or spray‑paint machines.
• Collaborate with guest‑room technicians to complete maintenance requests on time.
• Maintain tools and equipment in safe, operational condition and adhere to grooming standards.

Required profile

• Professional appearance and strict grooming in line with hotel standards.
• Ability to work safely, follow EHS policies and report hazards promptly.
• Team‑oriented mindset with good communication with other maintenance staff.

Required skills

• Surface preparation and masking techniques.
• Paint mixing and colour matching.
• Operation of spray guns, brushes and rollers.
• Use of caulking guns, putty knives and sanding equipment.
• Erection of scaffolding and safe ladder use.
• Furniture and wood polishing using hand and spray methods.
• Adherence to safety equipment and personal protective equipment protocols.
