Housekeeping Order Taker

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic Housekeeping Order Taker to manage all communications within the Housekeeping Office and ensure smooth departmental operations. The role combines administrative duties with guest‑focused service in a fast‑paced hotel environment.

Key responsibilities

• Safekeep, record and collect all keys and papers in the Housekeeping Office.
• Sort daily activity reports and maintain housekeeping files.
• Answer phone calls promptly, follow telephone etiquette, record messages and ensure follow‑up.
• Manage Lost & Found items: receive, record, store, process claims and clear records.
• Update and print Opera system reports for room discrepancies and forward them to Accounts and Front Office.
• Arrange babysitting services for guests and prepare attendance sheets for payroll.
• Keep the Housekeeping Office clean and tidy; purge outdated reports each month.

Required profile

• Diploma or vocational training in hospitality or a related field.
• Good written and verbal English communication skills.
• Interpersonal abilities and cross‑cultural sensitivity.
• Ability to work under pressure in a multicultural team.
• Attention to detail and strong customer focus.

Required skills

• Computer literacy.
• Experience with the Opera hotel management system.
