Housekeeping Supervisor

About the role

The Housekeeping Supervisor ensures that guest rooms, public areas and facilities meet the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation. Working closely with housekeeping staff and other hotel departments, you will oversee daily operations and maintain a seamless guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect guest rooms, public areas and pool areas after cleaning to verify quality standards.
• Run sold‑room reports, verify room status, prioritize cleaning and update departing‑guest room statuses.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Front Office and Laundry to resolve discrepancies and communicate room‑assignment changes.
• Document and resolve issues with discrepant rooms, communicating findings to the next shift.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling and motivating housekeeping staff.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures and security protocols.
• Welcome guests, anticipate service needs and provide assistance to individuals with disabilities.
• Perform required paperwork and other duties as requested by supervisors.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent (preferred).
• Proven experience in hotel housekeeping, preferably in a supervisory role.
• Physical ability to lift ≤ 55 lb unassisted and >55 lb with assistance; push/pull housekeeping carts on uneven surfaces.
• Ability to stand, walk, kneel and perform repetitive motions for an entire shift.
• Strong communication skills and professional demeanor.
