HR Generalist – Dubai

About the role

The successful candidate will work closely with the senior leadership team to build HR frameworks, implement policies and procedures, manage recruitment activity, and ensure compliance with UAE labour legislation and free‑zone regulations. This role is ideal for an HR professional who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment, enjoys building processes and can balance strategic thinking with operational execution.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement HR policies, employee handbooks, code of conduct and governance frameworks aligned with group standards and local compliance.
• Lead recruitment, onboarding and relocation for the new Dubai office, coordinating agencies, hiring managers and international transfers.
• Provide day‑to‑day HR administration across the employee lifecycle, including payroll, benefits, compensation reviews and performance‑related bonus administration.
• Act as first point of contact for employee relations, handling grievances, disciplinary matters and workplace issues in line with UAE Labour Law.
• Manage visa, work permit and residency processes and liaise with government authorities and free‑zone entities.

Required profile

• 10+ years of progressive HR Generalist experience within the UAE.
• Proven ability to establish or develop HR functions in a growing or newly established business.
• Strong practical knowledge of recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, learning & development, compensation & benefits, payroll and HR compliance.
• Excellent understanding of UAE Labour Law and experience with free‑zone and mainland regulations.
• Native Arabic speaker with strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
