HSE Engineer (Health, Safety & Environment)

About the role

Parsons is seeking an HSE Engineer to join its Abu Dhabi team. You will support the senior construction site representative by ensuring health, safety and environmental standards are met, and by driving a culture of zero incidents.

Key responsibilities

• Advise and assist senior site leadership in establishing and managing ESHARP and Parsons SH&E processes.
• Develop site‑specific work plans, compliance programs, training and orientation plans that meet SH&E regulations and client requirements.
• Collaborate with SH&E, project and program managers to evaluate contractors’ safety performance and culture.
• Audit projects and worksites against corporate and client standards, produce written audit reports.
• Implement occupational injury and incident reporting, conduct thorough investigations and root‑cause analyses.
• Perform trend analysis on audit findings, inspections and incident reports; deliver regular analysis reports.
• Represent the SH&E manager on‑site, supervise emergency response and first‑aid teams.
• Prepare and review audit, inspection and OSH statistics reports for management and regulatory bodies.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and a solid work ethic.
• Good knowledge of safety policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to develop and implement safety management plans and training programs.
• Experience conducting audits, incident investigations and root‑cause analyses.
• Effective communication skills to liaise with contractors, managers and regulators.
