HSE Manager

About the role

The HSE Manager will lead Health, Safety and Environment activities across Wasael Property Management projects, ensuring a safe working environment, regulatory compliance and the implementation of organisational HSE standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain project HSE plans, policies, procedures and management systems.
• Ensure compliance with UAE HSE legislation, regulatory requirements and authority standards.
• Provide HSE leadership to project teams, consultants, contractors and subcontractors.
• Review and approve contractor HSE plans, risk assessments, method statements and emergency response plans.
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits and assessments to identify hazards and non‑compliance.
• Lead hazard identification, risk assessment activities and establish preventive and corrective measures.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, near‑misses and environmental events, implement root‑cause corrective actions.
• Develop and monitor HSE KPIs, statistics and trends, reporting to senior management.
• Lead HSE meetings, toolbox talks, safety campaigns and awareness programmes.
• Coordinate with project, construction, technical, risk and other teams to integrate HSE considerations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Environmental Management or related field.
• NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent internationally recognised HSE qualification preferred.
• Relevant UAE HSE practice experience in construction or property projects.
