HSE Officer

About the role

The HSE Officer will champion health, safety and environmental standards across Edge’s operations in Abu Dhabi. You will develop, implement and monitor HSE policies, conduct inspections, and ensure compliance with local regulations and company procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out routine workplace and site safety inspections and identify hazards.
• Assess risks, review method statements, permits to work and recommend corrective actions.
• Deliver toolbox talks, safety inductions and awareness training for employees and contractors.
• Monitor the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and high‑risk activities such as work at height, confined‑space entry and hot work.
• Investigate accidents, incidents and near‑misses, prepare investigation reports and propose preventive measures.
• Maintain HSE records, inspection reports, training logs and ensure emergency equipment is functional.
• Participate in emergency drills and support response activities.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in health, safety and environment roles.
• Relevant certifications such as IOSH or NEBOSH.
• Strong knowledge of UAE occupational health and safety regulations.
• Ability to communicate safety procedures clearly to a multicultural workforce.
