HSE Officer

About the role

The HSE Officer will lead health, safety and environmental initiatives across ADNOC projects in Abu Dhabi. You will ensure compliance with company policies, local regulations and international standards while fostering a proactive safety culture.

Key responsibilities

• Implement, monitor and enforce HSE policies, procedures and standards in line with regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify hazards and verify adherence to safety protocols.
• Investigate incidents, near‑misses and accidents, prepare detailed reports and recommend corrective actions.
• Carry out risk assessments, safety inductions, toolbox talks and HSE training for employees and contractors.
• Monitor environmental compliance, including waste management, emissions control and spill prevention.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities during inspections and support emergency response planning and drills.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in a relevant discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of HSE experience in the oil & gas industry.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, NEBOSH, ISO 45001 and local HSE regulations; NEBOSH certification is mandatory.
• Proven experience in conducting risk assessments, audits and incident investigations.
• Willingness to work on‑site at various ADNOC locations and to work shifts as required.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience with HSE reporting tools.
