HSE Specialist I

About the role

Worley is seeking an HSE Specialist I to join its Abu Dhabi project team. The role focuses on ensuring health, safety, security, environment and quality (HSSEQ) objectives are achieved throughout the EPC and construction phases.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of the Project HSSE Management System and ensure alignment with overall project execution strategy.
• Monitor and guide EPC contractors and sub‑vendors to meet HSSE targets, conduct audits, and verify qualifications of HSSE personnel.
• Champion a strong safety culture, drive engagement activities, and address HSSE issues promptly.
• Collaborate with PMC construction engineers to integrate HSSE requirements into construction tasks.
• Review and advise on the Project Execution Plan, HSSE procedures, and HSSE plans to ensure compliance with standards.
• Support investigations of HSSE incidents and communicate findings to project management.

Required profile

• Proven experience in HSSE management within EPC or large‑scale construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of HSSE regulations, standards and audit processes.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and influence contractors and vendors.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
