HSEW Manager

About the role

The HSEW Manager will lead health, safety, security and environmental programmes for a major construction project in Abu Dhabi. Reporting to the corporate HSEW Manager, you will develop site‑specific manuals, supervise safety teams and ensure compliance with local regulations and PPE standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a site‑specific health and safety manual and related procedures.
• Supervise HSSE Coordinators, administrators and third‑party security providers.
• Maintain safety records, statistics and analyse trends to drive continuous improvement.
• Deliver safety training, orientations and conduct incident investigations.
• Ensure trade contractors adhere to site safety policies and proper PPE usage.
• Participate in joint safety meetings with client representatives and contribute to the Project Execution Plan.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 + years experience in Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) or equivalent within construction/heavy industry.
• Strong leadership in developing and applying corporate OH&S policies.
• Thorough knowledge of local safety laws, codes of practice and safe working procedures.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills for reporting to senior stakeholders.
• Proven ability to coordinate OH&S activities of subcontractors.
