HSSE Advisor I – Fabrication Yard

About the role

Petrofac is seeking an HSSE Advisor I to support its fabrication yard in Abu Dhabi. You will help develop and implement HSE plans, deliver training, and ensure compliance with company and client safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in creating HSE plans that meet corporate policies and client requirements.
• Organise and deliver toolbox talks, emergency drills and other training activities.
• Investigate accidents, close out investigation reports and share lessons learned.
• Oversee day‑to‑day HSE activities within the assigned area.
• Support the implementation of HSE components and develop project‑specific procedures.
• Conduct HSE inductions and ongoing training for new personnel.
• Apply hazard identification and risk assessment processes, ensuring controls are ALARP.
• Communicate HSE requirements to all relevant staff and verify compliance through inspections and meetings.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years (60 months) of HSE experience in the oil & gas or petrochemical sector.
• Relevant certifications such as NEBOSH IGC and ISO 45001 internal auditor.
• Proven ability to conduct investigations and produce actionable reports.
• Strong knowledge of H2S control measures and emergency response procedures.
