HVAC Supervisor

About the role

The HVAC Supervisor will lead the installation, commissioning, operation and maintenance of all heating, ventilation and air‑conditioning systems across guest‑facing and back‑of‑house areas of Banyan Tree Dubai. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will ensure systems meet manufacturer specifications, safety standards and the property’s performance requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise installation, alignment, connection and commissioning of HVAC equipment including AHUs, FCUs, chillers, package units, split units, exhaust and fresh‑air systems, pumps, cooling towers and ventilation devices.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical connections, refrigerant levels, filters, belts, bearings, motors, valves, dampers, thermostats, sensors and control systems.
• Plan and implement preventive maintenance programmes to minimise breakdowns, reduce energy consumption and extend equipment life.
• Oversee scheduled testing to verify efficient, safe operation and compliance with manufacturer and regulatory standards.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical HVAC issues, coordinating corrective actions with the maintenance team.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising HVAC installation and maintenance in a hospitality or large‑scale commercial environment.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and manufacturer specifications for HVAC systems.
• Ability to lead a technical team, schedule work and ensure compliance with quality standards.
