HVAC Technician – Facility Maintenance (Dubai Airport)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to perform preventative, corrective and breakdown maintenance on mechanical and HVAC equipment at Dubai Airport. The role involves working independently or within a technical team to ensure minimal disruption to airport operations while adhering to safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out preventative, corrective and breakdown maintenance on HVAC systems such as air handling units, fan coil units, exhaust and fresh air fans, package units, ducted and split systems.
• Interpret and work from HVAC system drawings, circuit and wiring diagrams, and schematics.
• Set up and use test equipment (manifold gauge, multimeter, clamp meter, temperature/humidity meter, vacuum gauge, refrigerant leak detector) and analyse results.
• Ensure compliance with local and international air‑conditioning and refrigeration standards and regulations.
• Perform electrical and mechanical isolations, lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures, and planned preventive maintenance routines.
• Prepare technical reports, spreadsheets and presentations using MS Office.
• Support any additional tasks assigned by the supervisor or duty engineer.

Required profile

• Minimum six years of experience in facility management or a similar environment.
• Strong command of oral and written English.
• Ability to produce technical documentation and presentations.

Required skills

• Building Management Systems (BMS) knowledge.
• Interpretation of HVAC system drawings and schematics.
• Proficiency with test equipment: manifold gauge, digital multimeter, clamp meter, temperature/humidity meter, vacuum gauge, refrigerant leak detector.
• Understanding of local and international AC and refrigeration standards.
• Use of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for reporting.
• Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
