HVAC Technician – Pharmaceutical Manufacturing

About the role

The HVAC Technician will ensure reliable operation, maintenance, and compliance of heating, ventilation, and air‑conditioning systems within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. The role focuses on maintaining controlled conditions that meet cGMP, WHO, EU GMP, and FDA standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot AHUs, FCUs, MAUs, exhaust systems, chillers, cooling towers, and dehumidifiers.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance according to SOPs and maintenance plans.
• Monitor temperature, humidity, and pressure differentials to meet GMP and URS requirements.
• Respond promptly to HVAC alarms and breakdowns.
• Use BMS platforms (Siemens Desigo CC, Honeywell, Schneider) to acknowledge alarms, review trends, and support loop checks.
• Coordinate with BMS engineers for advanced troubleshooting.
• Support HVAC qualification, re‑qualification, and maintain logbooks, checklists, deviations, and change controls following ALCOA+ principles.

Required profile

• Diploma or ITI in Mechanical or HVAC Engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience in pharmaceutical or clean‑room HVAC environments.
• Hands‑on experience with BMS monitoring and control.

Required skills

• HVAC system operation and maintenance (AHU, FCU, MAU, chillers, cooling towers, dehumidifiers).
• Preventive and corrective maintenance procedures.
• BMS monitoring (Siemens Desigo CC, Honeywell, Schneider).
• GMP and cGMP compliance, ALCOA+ data integrity.
