IMS Internal Audit Officer

About the role

The IMS Internal Audit Officer will support EDGE’s quality and compliance framework by executing the integrated management system audit plan across AL TAIF locations in the UAE. The role involves conducting scheduled and special internal audits, documenting findings, and driving corrective actions to ensure continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Execute the approved IMS audit plan and conduct scheduled internal audits of AL TAIF operations.
• Perform special audits as directed by the Senior Manager, Quality.
• Prepare audit checklists covering project contracts, ISO standards, EIAC and other relevant requirements.
• Document audit findings, propose opportunities for improvement (OFIs) and corrective actions (CARs).
• Maintain and track the status of CARs and OFIs until closure, verifying effectiveness.
• Assist in preparing for external audits and provide training/awareness to employees.
• Create trend analysis reports on internal audit processes.
• Support risk management by identifying and reporting QHSE, legal and contractual risks during audits.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of all company information.

Required profile

• High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred.
• 2–4 years of experience in a quality auditing role.
• Experience as a multi‑skilled specialist auditor in a technical field is an advantage.
• Auditor certification for current management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO/IEC 17025); Lead Auditor certification preferred.
• Ability to interpret audit standards such as ASQ Quality 101, ISO 19011, ISO 31073, ISO 17043.
