About the role
The In‑Room Dining Order Taker serves food courses and alcoholic beverages to hotel guests, handles menu inquiries, records orders, and ensures a pleasant dining experience in guests' rooms.
Key responsibilities
- Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests in their rooms.
- Set tables according to event type and service standards.
- Answer guest questions on menu selections and communicate with the kitchen regarding availability, wait times, and special requests.
- Record orders in the MICROS point‑of‑sale system and present accurate checks for payment.
- Check in with guests throughout the service to ensure satisfaction and maintain cleanliness of work areas, china, and glassware.
- Complete closing duties such as restocking, turning off lights, and securing the service area.
Required profile
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- At least one year of related room‑service or hospitality experience.
- No supervisory experience required.
Required skills
- Proficiency with the MICROS POS system.
