Inclusion Assistant – Al Mushrif KG Charter School

About the role

Provide early intervention to promote the educational and social development of identified pupils under the direction of the Head of Inclusion and the class teacher.

Key responsibilities

• Provide support for individual pupils, both inside and outside the classroom, to enable full participation in school activities.
• Be proactive in health and safety matters and ensure compliance with school policies.
• Assist in implementing individual education programmes (IEPs) and monitor progress toward goals.
• Support pupils with additional needs such as academic, physical, emotional, and behavioural difficulties, helping develop social and communication skills.
• Prepare and adapt resources to differentiate the curriculum and promote independence.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists (speech, occupational), and other professionals, maintaining pupil records.
• Attend training sessions, professional meetings, and contribute to behaviour policy development.
• Participate in extracurricular activities, trips, and mentor new inclusion assistants as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience working with special educational needs (SEN) students.
• SEN qualification – Diploma.
