About the role
The Inspector (Competent Person) will oversee mechanical inspection activities for client sites, ensuring compliance with safety, quality and regulatory standards. Reporting to the Power & Utilities Head for UAE and Oman, the role requires strong leadership, planning and communication skills.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate mechanical inspection activities on client sites, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Plan, organise and control work schedules, conduct Toolbox Talks and monitor performance against targets.
- Maintain high resilience under pressure and ensure timely reporting to the Power & Utilities Head.
- Apply first‑aid and fire‑fighting procedures and uphold basic HSE awareness throughout the site.
Required profile
- Mechanical engineering qualification – diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- At least three years of recent mechanical work experience, preferably within the last five years.
- Familiarity with Permit‑To‑Work systems and experience on TAQA/Transco assets.
- Strong oral communication skills in English.
Required skills
- Mechanical engineering knowledge.
