Inspector I – Quality (Welding, Piping & NDE)

About the role

Petrofac is seeking an Inspector I – Quality to support the fabrication, installation and testing of process piping, steel structures, tanks and vessels across its energy projects. The role focuses on ensuring welding and non‑destructive testing activities meet project specifications and industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and report on fabrication, erection and testing processes for piping, steel structures and metallic items.
• Review welding procedure specifications (WPS), procedure qualification records (PQR) and weld maps.
• Witness welder qualifications and verify consumable traceability.
• Maintain control of welding consumables and ensure equipment calibration.
• Conduct visual and dimensional inspections during fabrication and construction.
• Check compliance of welding parameters with approved procedures.
• Prepare and review fit‑up and final visual inspection reports.
• Monitor contractor performance and verify personnel certifications.

Required profile

• Minimum of 1 month relevant experience in welding, piping or NDE inspection.
• Relevant certifications such as CSWIP, CSWP, NDT Level II or AWS CWI.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents (WPS, PQR, weld maps).
• Attention to detail and strong commitment to safety and quality standards.
