Installation Engineer – Elevator & Escalator

About the role

KONE is seeking an Installation Engineer to lead elevator and escalator installations in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on ensuring safety, quality and productivity on site while coordinating with customers, project managers and subcontractors.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise site activities, guaranteeing safety, quality and productivity during installation and handover.
• Apply KONE installation methods and tools, performing risk assessments where standard methods are not feasible.
• Prepare the site, manage readiness, conduct visits and audits, and resolve non‑conformities with customers.
• Verify the site execution plan, manage field costs and maintain material delivery schedules (MS 3c).
• Plan and organise installation logistics, storage, tools and resources; request and receive materials, perform goods receipt.
• Hand over work to installation teams, clarify scope, milestones and target installation hours.
• Run daily huddles to prevent interruptions, improve workflow efficiency and reduce waste.
• Support the Project Manager and Admin in payment verification and achieve variation sales targets.

Required profile

• Minimum 36 months of experience in elevator/escalator installation or related construction field.
• Strong knowledge of safety standards and risk assessment procedures.
• Ability to supervise multidisciplinary teams on site.
• Good command of Arabic for customer interaction.
• Proven capability in field cost management and logistics planning.
