Installation Engineer - Elevators and Escalators (Volume Business)

About the role

KONE is hiring an Installation Engineer for its volume elevator and escalator business in Sharjah. The role covers site supervision, installation planning and handovers, customer relationship management, team and subcontractor coordination, and continuous improvement on site.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise site installation and handovers, ensuring safety, quality and productivity, and acting on non-conformities
• Ensure the installation team uses correct KONE methods and tools, and carries out risk assessments where the KONE method is not feasible
• Prepare the site, verify the site execution plan and field cost management, and confirm S-plan milestones 3 to 5z
• Plan installation activities, site storage and logistics, request and receive materials, and perform goods receipt
• Organize handovers to the installation team and subcontractors, and run daily huddles to keep work flowing smoothly
• Manage variation sales, change orders and cost claims, and verify installation quality and final testing
• Handle quality claims, timesheet approvals, documentation, progress reporting, schedule changes and environmental aspects such as waste and hazardous materials
• Act as the main customer contact for site management and ensure customer satisfaction
• Verify that installers, testers and contractors are trained and competent, and manage the performance of the team and subcontractors
• Follow and improve standard ways of working according to LEAN principles

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• At least 3 years of experience with elevators and escalators, with a proven track record in a similar role
• Ability to manage multiple customers and projects across different locations
• Strong leadership skills and excellent communication skills
• Good English and Arabic are an added advantage
