Instructional Designer & Technical Writer – Project‑Based (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Instructional Designer / Technical Writer to lead a project‑based engagement that converts source material and operational knowledge into structured learning content and process documentation. The role is fully remote, self‑directed and requires end‑to‑end ownership of the deliverables.

Key responsibilities

• Define content, instructional design and documentation standards and create a repeatable workflow for learning material development.
• Transform source material, subject‑matter expertise and operational knowledge into LMS modules, lessons, learning objectives, activities and assessments.
• Produce clear, practical SOPs that capture processes, roles, decision points, escalation paths and required procedures.
• Leverage AI and LLM tools to accelerate drafting, structuring and production while maintaining rigorous human review and quality control.
• Interview stakeholders and SMEs to translate complex workflows into learner‑friendly content.
• Identify topics suitable for short AI‑assisted videos and recommend appropriate production workflows.
• Develop reusable templates, prompts and documentation assets to improve future efficiency.
• Establish procedures for content review, approval, versioning, maintenance and updates.

Required profile

• Proven experience in instructional design, technical writing or learning content development.
• Hands‑on experience using AI and LLM tools for content generation, structuring or editing.
• Strong ability to interview SMEs, understand operational workflows and produce clear, structured documentation.
• Excellent written communication, attention to detail and consistency across multiple formats.
• Ability to work independently and manage a fixed‑scope project from planning through delivery.
