Instrumentation Technician – I-C Section (Asab)

About the role

The Instrumentation Technician for the I‑C Section at the Asab plant will be responsible for maintaining and testing all process monitoring, control and protective equipment. The role ensures reliable operation of instrumentation systems through preventive, corrective and emergency maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out routine and preventive maintenance, repair and testing of instrumentation in accordance with SOPs and work orders.
• Participate in scheduled plant shutdowns, performing both preventive and emergency maintenance to guarantee equipment availability.
• Inspect equipment, identify developing problems and report issues promptly.
• Troubleshoot, calibrate and test various process control instruments and relay logic to keep systems operating as designed.
• Implement field or system modifications of control elements and loops per plant change requests and update related drawings.
• Assist in upgrading and retrofitting new control instruments to existing panels in the field and main control room.

Required profile

• Technical Diploma or Secondary School Certificate with a vocational trade certificate in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in instrumentation maintenance within an industrial plant.
• Ability to work safely during both scheduled and unscheduled shutdowns.
