Internal Audit Officer

About the role

The Internal Audit Officer supports the audit function by planning, executing, and reporting on audit assignments. The role provides independent assessments of business activities to ensure alignment with the enterprise’s goals, risk management framework, and efficient use of resources.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing the annual Internal Audit Plan by assessing and prioritizing risks across business units.
• Gather background information, define audit scope, and create detailed work programs aligned with the approved plan.
• Execute field work, perform qualitative and quantitative testing, and evaluate internal control systems.
• Develop audit findings and recommendations, discuss them with auditees, and obtain agreement on corrective actions.
• Maintain comprehensive working papers, evidence, and documentation for all audit activities.
• Conduct follow‑up reviews to monitor the implementation status of agreed recommendations.
• Prepare and deliver regular reports to the Engagement Manager and senior audit leadership.
• Advise business functions on audit planning, processes, and techniques to improve operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with the Internal Audit manual, code of conduct, and professional standards.

Required profile

• Ability to assess and prioritize risks at both unit and corporate levels.
• Strong analytical skills for designing audit scopes and work programs.
• Experience in executing audit field work and evaluating internal controls.
• Proficiency in preparing clear audit findings, recommendations, and follow‑up reports.
• Familiarity with professional audit standards and best practices.
• Discretion and authority to access confidential company information.
