Internal Auditor

About the role

The university seeks an Internal Auditor to evaluate and improve its procurement, finance, HR, assets, IT and academic operations. You will ensure compliance with internal policies, UAE regulations and Ministry of Education requirements while supporting the Chief Internal Auditor.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct audits across procurement, finance, HR, assets, IT and academic functions.
• Review LPOs, quotations, vendor contracts and payment terms, and verify deliveries before payments.
• Prepare clear audit reports with recommendations and follow up on action implementation.
• Assist in preparing the annual audit plan and ensure compliance with university policies and UAE regulations.
• Participate in investigations and special reviews as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
• 3‑5 years of audit or finance experience; higher‑education experience is a plus.
• Professional certification such as CIA, CPA or ACCA preferred.

Required skills

• Knowledge of IIA Standards and risk‑based auditing.
• Understanding of procurement processes and UAE VAT.
• Strong Excel skills; Power BI experience preferred.
