Internal Auditor – QHSE (Abu Dhabi)

About the role

Ali & Sons Holding LLC is seeking an experienced Internal Auditor – QHSE to lead and execute its group‑wide QHSE auditing programme across a diversified portfolio of businesses in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on assessing internal controls, identifying risks, and delivering actionable recommendations that enhance compliance, efficiency and operational performance.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and conduct scheduled QHSE and risk‑based operational audits across all group entities.
• Develop audit scopes by pinpointing relevant controls, processes and risk areas.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls against applicable standards, regulations and best practices.
• Document findings, observations and improvement opportunities with clarity and accuracy.
• Follow up with management to ensure timely implementation of corrective actions.
• Prepare comprehensive audit reports and executive summaries for senior management.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements through audit recommendations.
• Support the design and enhancement of audit tools, methodologies, policies and procedures.
• Conduct special audits, investigations and ad‑hoc assignments with minimal supervision.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of proven auditing experience, preferably in QHSE environments.
• Certified Internal Auditor qualifications for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001 and ISO 27001 (essential).
• Certification for API Spec Q1 (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of QHSE standards, specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to perform risk‑based operational auditing and compliance assessments.
