Inventory Planner – Rotables Forecasting

About the role

The Inventory Planner will coordinate planning activities for aircraft spares, cabin equipment, in‑flight entertainment and tools, ensuring that both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance are supported in the most cost‑effective way.

Key responsibilities

• Review part forecasts for A and C checks, propose re‑orders and initiate procurement to guarantee spare availability at optimal cost.
• Set re‑order levels and quantities for consumables, maintaining service levels while controlling inventory expense.
• Monitor float levels of rotable parts using Poisson calculations and track fleet defects to drive reduction initiatives.
• Implement stocking strategies such as pool inclusion and consignment stock, identify surplus and recommend disposal actions.
• Evaluate LMP and LRU RSPL for initial, additional and continuous provisioning.
• Manage shelf‑life expiry items and scrap transactions in the ERP system, initiating justified replenishment.
• Resolve discrepancies in spare inventories by coordinating with relevant teams.
• Support aircraft induction, return‑to‑service and lease‑return projects.
• Develop and maintain process documentation and departmental manuals in line with regulatory requirements.
• Participate in projects assigned by the Materials Planning Manager to achieve departmental goals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical qualification with at least three years of aviation inventory management experience.
• Proven track record in aircraft material planning, procurement and supplier management.
• Familiarity with technical manuals (IPC, ITEM, MPD) and with RSPLs, W‑File, spare‑repair, warranty and OEM support contracts.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, able to work under pressure in a multicultural environment.
