IT Operations Specialist

About the role

Al Safadi Hospitality is looking for a hands-on IT Operations Specialist with a strong background in retail, hospitality or multi-branch operations. The role covers ERP and POS systems, IT infrastructure, networking and security, and requires independent management of daily IT operations, resolution of critical issues and assurance of business continuity across all locations.

Key responsibilities

• Support Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Squirrel POS and LS Retail, including user access, configuration, troubleshooting, transactions and end-of-day operations.
• Support Smart Attendance, Sky Bayan HR, CrunchTime and Convox call center systems, including user management, devices and connectivity.
• Configure and maintain routers, switches, Wi-Fi, VPNs and FortiGate firewalls, including security policies and site-to-site connectivity.
• Manage Microsoft 365, email accounts, user permissions, antivirus, backups and system updates.
• Troubleshoot computers, printers, CCTV, POS terminals and other IT equipment across multiple locations.
• Handle daily IT activities, technical incidents, escalations and operational priorities independently.
• Coordinate with software and IT service providers on issues, including ERP/POS integration problems.
• Coordinate IT infrastructure, POS installation, testing and go-live support for new branch openings.
• Maintain IT asset records and technical documentation, and train employees on systems.
• Ensure system availability, minimise downtime and provide urgent support outside regular hours when needed.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on IT experience, preferably in retail, supermarket chains, restaurant chains or multi-branch operations.
• Bachelor's degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science or a related field.
• Valid UAE driving licence is mandatory.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities and travel between branches.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
• Hands-on experience with POS systems; Squirrel POS or LS Retail preferred.
• Strong knowledge of networking, FortiGate firewalls, VPNs, Microsoft 365 and IT security.
• CCNA certification required; CCNP, Fortinet or Microsoft certifications are an advantage.
