IT Support Engineer – Backfill (Dubai)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced IT Desktop Support Technician to join our team in Dubai on a backfill basis. The role involves providing on‑site field support for hardware, software and network issues while ensuring compliance with warranty and security policies.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver desk‑side support and PC break/fix for Windows, macOS and Linux systems.
• Install, troubleshoot and repair desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, fax machines and other peripherals.
• Perform smart‑hand activities on networking equipment such as routers, switches, firewalls and cabling.
• Handle ticketing via ServiceNow or Remedy, conduct repeat‑call analysis and implement preventive actions.
• Maintain basic administration of operating systems and assist with LAN/WAN setup concepts.
• Lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs as required.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on IT infrastructure support experience.
• Associate degree in Electronics or equivalent and CompTIA A+ certification preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills with customers and management.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and adapt to flexible schedules.
• Vendor certifications from Dell, Toshiba, Lenovo or HP are a plus.
