IT Support Technician

About the role

The IT Support Technician will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the organization’s network infrastructure. This role involves hands‑on work with hardware, software, and security systems to ensure reliable connectivity and data protection for all users.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain, repair, and replace network hardware such as routers, switches, servers, and telecommunications equipment.
• Provide technical support for network operating systems and applications, troubleshooting connectivity, security, and performance issues.
• Configure, manage, and maintain firewalls and endpoint protection systems to safeguard network integrity.
• Diagnose and resolve network outages, slow performance, and configuration errors.
• Maintain up‑to‑date network diagrams, technical documentation, and asset registers, including user accounts and software distribution.
• Conduct regular network audits and physical inventory of IT assets.
• Support network integration, functional testing, and ensure optimal operation across environments.
• Keep network infrastructure clean, organized, and secure, including server rooms.
• Uphold confidentiality, integrity, and security of company data.
• Collaborate with the IT team to follow policies, procedures, and compliance standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum two years of IT customer support experience in an office setting.
• Relevant certifications highly desired (e.g., CCNA, Network+).
• Strong analytical ability, capable of working independently and within a team.
• Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
