IT System Administrator (Windows, VMware, Microsoft 365)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced IT System Administrator to join Amer Al Ghurair’s technology team in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, securing and optimizing the company’s IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance of critical business systems.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022).
• Manage VMware vSphere and/or Microsoft Hyper‑V virtualization platforms.
• Configure and support Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy and file services.
• Administer Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Azure AD and Intune.
• Maintain LAN/WAN, VPNs, switches, routers, firewalls and wireless infrastructure.
• Perform server patching, backup, disaster recovery planning and system monitoring.
• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 technical support for infrastructure and end‑users.
• Implement cybersecurity best practices, endpoint protection and security compliance.
• Document technical procedures, reports and standard operating procedures.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in system administration, networking and IT infrastructure support.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server administration, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy.
• Proven experience with VMware vSphere and/or Microsoft Hyper‑V.
• Demonstrated ability to administer Microsoft 365 environments.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, routing, switching and firewall management.
• Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
