IT Systems and Network Administrator

About the role

The IT Systems and Network Administrator will manage, maintain, and support Flatgigs' entire IT infrastructure, ensuring reliable server operations, secure networking, and effective end‑user support.

Key responsibilities

• Administer Windows Server environments (2012, 2016, 2019, 2022) and Active Directory, including Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.
• Virtualize servers using Hyper‑V to optimise resources and scalability.
• Design, install, configure and maintain firewalls, VPNs and related security policies.
• Plan, deploy and manage LAN/WAN topologies, routers, switches, access points and VLANs.
• Provide Level 2/Level 3 support for Cisco, HP and Aruba network devices.
• Develop and execute backup and recovery strategies, handling schedules, retention and cloud backup integration.
• Deliver primary technical support to end‑users across Windows, macOS and Linux platforms.

Required profile

• Strong technical expertise in server and network administration.
• Hands‑on experience with Windows Server, Active Directory and virtualization.
• Proven ability to manage firewalls, VPNs and network security policies.
• Experience troubleshooting complex network issues and providing tier‑2/3 support.
• Familiarity with backup, recovery and cloud backup solutions.
