IT Systems Specialist

About the role

We are looking for an experienced IT Systems Specialist to join ADVANCED CONCEPTS, an entity within EDGE focused on cutting‑edge autonomous technologies. The role will ensure the reliability, security and performance of our server and operating‑system environment.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain servers and operating systems.
• Manage user accounts, permissions and access controls.
• Administer databases, ensuring data integrity, backups and recovery.
• Develop and execute backup strategies and disaster‑recovery plans.
• Apply OS and application patches and updates.
• Handle change management to minimise disruption.
• Respond to incidents and outages, restoring services quickly.
• Monitor performance, optimise systems and ensure high availability.
• Maintain accurate documentation of configurations and procedures.
• Collaborate with IT support staff and other departments.
• Contribute to IT policies, best practices and user training.
• Liaise with vendors for purchases, upgrades and support.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of IT infrastructure administration experience.
• At least 3 years in a system management role for a mid‑sized organization.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field.
• Relevant certifications preferred (e.g., Microsoft Certified Windows Server, CCNA, VCP).
• Strong knowledge of NIST 800‑53, CNSSI 1253, data classification and least‑privilege access.
