IT Teacher / Digital and Innovation Lead

About the role

GEMS FirstPoint School, a British curriculum school in The Villa community of Dubai with around 2,000 students from Nursery to Year 13, is looking for an IT Teacher / Digital and Innovation Lead to join from August 2027. The role combines high-quality classroom teaching with a leadership position shaping the school's digital strategy, embedding technology across the curriculum and driving innovation in teaching and learning.

Key responsibilities

• Teach IT, Computer Science or Digital Technology within the British curriculum, ideally including GCSE and/or A Level.
• Shape the school's digital strategy and embed technology across the curriculum.
• Lead and inspire colleagues, supporting the development of digital skills and confidence across the school.
• Deliver engaging, innovative and high-quality learning experiences.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Digital Technology or a related subject.
• Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS or equivalent).
• Experience teaching IT, Computer Science or Digital Technology within the British curriculum, ideally including GCSE and/or A Level.
• Experience or strong understanding of digital strategy and emerging technologies in education.
• Excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills.
