ITS Engineer – Construction Supervision

About the role

We are looking for a motivated ITS Engineer to join our Abu Dhabi team and support the delivery of a major Intelligent Transportation Systems construction supervision project. The role involves overseeing installation, testing, commissioning and hand‑over of ITS across a large transportation network.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise on‑site installation, testing and commissioning of ITS equipment.
• Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, standards and safety requirements.
• Review and approve contractor submittals, shop drawings, method statements and testing procedures.
• Witness factory acceptance tests (FAT), site acceptance tests (SAT) and integrated system testing.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary supervision teams (civil, electrical, telecom, traffic, systems).
• Identify construction issues and provide technical recommendations to keep the project on schedule.
• Prepare inspection reports, non‑conformance reports, snag lists and progress updates.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality management standards.
• Liaise with Abu Dhabi authorities for approvals, inspections and project hand‑over.
• Support close‑out activities, including as‑built documentation and final acceptance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in ITS engineering and construction supervision.
• Proven experience on ITS projects in the UAE, familiar with Abu Dhabi transport authority requirements.
• Strong understanding of ITS standards, traffic management systems and communications networks.
