Junior Accountant (Dubai)

About the role

A contracting and fit‑out business in Dubai is looking for a Junior Accountant to handle daily accounting operations, bookkeeping, reconciliations, reporting, payroll preparation and VAT‑related activities. The successful candidate will work within structured weekly and monthly workflows, supporting both project‑based and corporate finance functions.

Key responsibilities

• Record sales invoices, supplier bills, receipts and payment transactions accurately.
• Maintain project‑wise documentation and organise records in dedicated folders.
• Prepare weekly aged‑debtors reports, supplier‑payment lists and petty‑cash counts.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and profit checks for ongoing projects.
• Prepare payroll sheets for WPS submission and support VAT‑return preparation through EmaraTax.
• Assist with year‑end financial documentation and auditor requirements.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of UAE accounting or bookkeeping experience.
• Degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce.
• Knowledge of UAE VAT and EmaraTax filing.
• Immediate availability is preferred.
• Construction or fit‑out experience is an advantage.

Required skills

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with Tally, Zoho Books or QuickBooks.
• Familiarity with EmaraTax for VAT filing.
