Junior Accountant

About the role

The Junior Accountant will support the finance team in day‑to‑day accounting operations, ensuring accurate record‑keeping and timely processing of transactions. This entry‑level position offers exposure to a full range of accounting activities within a manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily accounting transactions and post journal entries.
• Process accounts payable and receivable, verify invoices and supporting documents.
• Prepare payment requests, cheques and bank transfers.
• Maintain organized filing of invoices, receipts and vouchers.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports and schedules.
• Support payroll‑related accounting and WPS transactions as needed.
• Help with VAT documentation and reporting.
• Participate in month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Provide documentation for internal and external audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 1–2 years of accounting experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organizational and time‑management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Effective communication skills.
