Junior AI Engineer

About the role

Humai is looking for a Junior AI Engineer to join its fast‑growing AI team in Dubai. You will work side‑by‑side with senior AI and backend engineers and the founder, contributing to the core pipelines of two flagship products, Mairit and Huscribe. This is a hands‑on role where you will ship code from day one and grow your responsibilities quickly.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain evaluation sets and grading tools for AI pipelines.
• Implement pipeline steps such as prompts, checks, parsers, and retrieval under senior review.
• Curate clean, anonymised corpora from reviewed work, including terminology and test cases.
• Work on document processing tasks, including OCR output, layout, and rendering checks.
• Trace failures end‑to‑end, provide clear write‑ups, and fix or escalate issues.
• Develop small internal tools used daily by ops and product teams.

Required profile

• A degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a demonstrable equivalent through projects.
• Strong judgement and care for AI reliability, with a portfolio of built and tested projects.
• Willingness to work onsite in Dubai and obtain a UAE employment visa.
