Junior Category Executive

About the role

As a Junior Category Executive, you will be the analytical engine of the category team – turning large volumes of commercial data into clear insights, dashboards, and presentations that shape decisions with suppliers and senior management. This role is ideal for someone highly analytical, comfortable with SQL and data tools, and eager to build a career in category management within a fast‑paced Q‑commerce environment.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse large volumes of category, supplier, and customer data to identify trends, risks and opportunities, and translate them into actionable insights.
• Write and maintain SQL queries on Insights (or similar BI tools) to extract, validate and manipulate data for commercial analysis.
• Automate recurring reports and build self‑serve dashboards for day‑to‑day monitoring of sales, pricing, margins and stock availability.
• Create polished decks and presentations for supplier performance reviews and senior‑management meetings.
• Support commercial analysis across Q‑commerce levers such as ads monetisation, margin analysis and rebate structures.
• Collaborate with category, supply‑chain and content teams to ensure data‑driven decision‑making across assortment, pricing and promotions.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of experience in an analytical, commercial or category role, preferably in retail, quick commerce or e‑commerce.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to distil large data sets into clear insights and recommendations.
• Excellent storytelling and presentation skills for both ad‑hoc and regular senior‑level meetings.
• Solid understanding of Q‑commerce business models, including ads monetisation, margin analysis and rebate structures.
• Detail‑oriented, organised and able to thrive in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
