Junior Engineer (Quantity Surveying)

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Engineer (Quantity Surveying) to join our Abu Dhabi team. The role supports commercial and cost management activities across oil & gas, water, power and industrial projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare quantity take‑offs from drawings, specifications and tender documents.
• Assist in preparing Bills of Quantities, cost estimates, budgets and tender submissions.
• Review HVAC, mechanical, piping and MEP drawings to determine material and labour requirements.
• Obtain, evaluate and compare quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Verify subcontractor invoices, progress claims and completed quantities.
• Monitor project costs against approved budgets and maintain commercial records.
• Support preparation of client invoices, payment applications and variation claims.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, planning, contracts and site teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in quantity surveying or cost estimation, preferably in oil & gas, HVAC, MEP or industrial construction.
• Basic understanding of contracts, BOQs, variations and payment certification.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, estimation software or ERP systems.
