About the role
This position is for a Junior Key Account Manager focused on Modern Trade in the UAE. You will be responsible for growing assigned Modern Trade accounts, managing retailer relationships and turning trade plans into measurable sales, margin and shelf‑impact results.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and grow assigned Modern Trade accounts with focus on sales, margin, distribution and share‑of‑shelf.
- Build strong relationships with key retail stakeholders and support commercial discussions.
- Develop and execute account plans, pricing, rebates, promotional terms and retailer commitments.
- Plan and run promotional calendars based on sales potential, profitability and ROI.
- Monitor account performance, prepare business reviews and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure service levels, fill rates, stock availability and minimise expiries and trade returns.
- Drive in‑store execution including planogram compliance, POSM placement and promotional visibility.
- Use retailer portals, internal reports and market insights to identify opportunities and risks.
- Coordinate with sales, marketing, supply chain, finance and trade marketing to deliver account plans and new launches.
Required profile
- Minimum 3 years of FMCG sales or Key Account Management experience in the UAE.
- Hands‑on experience with Modern Trade accounts such as Carrefour, Spinneys, Co‑ops or petrol stations.
- Strong understanding of trade agreements, promotional calendars, pricing, rebates and trade terms.
- Ability to manage sales performance, margins, budgets and ROI discussions.
- Confident communication skills in English and ability to manage retailer and internal stakeholder relationships.
- Organised, proactive and ownership mindset.
