Junior Planning Engineer

About the role

The Junior Planning Engineer will join KONE’s UAE team to design, develop and maintain project schedules throughout the project lifecycle. You will monitor progress, report against plans and proactively highlight resource or timing challenges from tender through to close‑out.

Key responsibilities

• Support the sales function by creating project schedules and related material for estimates and proposals.
• Design, construct and maintain cost‑ and resource‑loaded schedules for projects in execution.
• Interact directly with customers to understand project requirements and integrate them into master schedules.
• Identify misalignments between supply and front‑line activities and suggest corrective actions.
• Assist the local Project Manager with critical‑path analysis, schedule acceleration, gap analysis and earned‑value forecasting.
• Maintain accurate schedule records and ensure contractual reporting obligations are met.
• Provide support for Extension of Time (EOT) claims, cause‑and‑effect scheduling and risk analysis.
• Contribute to planning process improvements and train project teams on best practices.

Required profile

• Minimum 36 months of experience in construction planning or project scheduling.
• Experience across tender, execution and close‑out phases.
• Proactive attitude with strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work closely with customers, sales teams and project managers.
