Junior System Engineer – Azure & Kubernetes

About the role

Avanza Solutions is seeking a Junior System Engineer to join its Dubai team. The role focuses on designing, deploying and maintaining cloud‑native and containerised solutions on Microsoft Azure and Kubernetes.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the design, implementation and optimisation of Azure‑based infrastructure and AKS clusters.
• Perform day‑to‑day system administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of containerised applications.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to improve system reliability, security and performance.
• Participate in on‑call rotations and scheduled maintenance activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong troubleshooting abilities and experience with system administration in cloud environments.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team and communicate technical information clearly.

Required skills

• Azure services (including AKS, storage, networking).
• Kubernetes concepts such as pods, deployments, services and ingress.
• Scripting/automation tools like PowerShell, Bash or Terraform.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, monitoring tools and security best practices.
