Kitchen Specialist – Retail (IKEA)

About the role

The Kitchen Specialist manages the kitchen department within an IKEA store, driving sales and ensuring high‑quality, cost‑effective operations. This role combines customer‑focused service with strategic initiatives to meet annual sales targets.

Key responsibilities

• Promote the Kitchen Design Service and generate add‑on sales.
• Conduct customer surveys, monitor competitors and identify market gaps.
• Schedule and track customer appointments to maintain service levels and reduce waiting times.
• Collaborate with the Range department to monitor stock and recommend order quantities.
• Coordinate with home delivery and assembly teams, audit kitchen designs and follow up on installations.
• Prepare annual business plans, budgets and KPI reports, creating action plans to achieve goals.
• Control costs through efficient methods and encourage team innovation.
• Train staff on design systems and kitchen range products, and supervise kitchen designers.

Required profile

• High School or Trade School graduate.
• 3–5 years of experience in a similar retail/kitchen design role.
• Proficiency in English; Arabic knowledge preferred.
• Good understanding of home‑furnishing markets and trends.
