Kitchen Steward – Abu Dhabi Grand Canal

About the role

The Kitchen Steward supports the Food & Beverage operations at The Ritz‑Carlton Abu Dhabi Grand Canal, ensuring that all dishware, utensils and linen are clean, sanitized and ready for guest service.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain dishwashing machines, hand‑wash stations, and linen washers/dryers.
• Clean, sanitize and store all kitchenware, glassware and service items.
• Transport dishware and linens between kitchen, service areas and laundry.
• Follow health, safety and quality standards at all times.
• Report accidents, injuries or unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting, moving and standing for extended periods (objects up to 50 lb).

Required profile

• No formal education or prior experience required.
• Ability to work full‑time in a fast‑paced hotel environment.
• Physical capability to lift, bend, twist and stand for long periods.
• Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe and professional workplace.

Required skills

• Basic operation of commercial dishwashing equipment.
• Understanding of hygiene and sanitation procedures.
• Ability to follow written instructions and safety protocols.
