Knowledge Lawyer

About the role

We are recruiting a Knowledge Lawyer to support our Finance, Debt Finance, Restructuring and Energy, Natural Resources & Infrastructure (ENRI) practices in Dubai. The role will create and maintain core reference materials on complex legal matters, develop local standard‑form precedents and keep the teams informed of market and legislative developments across the UAE and the wider region.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare updates, answer enquiries and produce sophisticated guidance for partners and associates in finance‑related matters.
• Develop, maintain and continuously improve high‑quality local standard‑form precedents, including legal opinions, security documents and ancillary finance documentation.
• Monitor market practice and legislative/regulatory developments, assess impact and communicate key points to the teams.
• Lead the centralisation and curation of know‑how and precedents, ensuring an up‑to‑date searchable knowledge bank.
• Collaborate with Knowledge Lawyers in London and support the rollout of legal‑tech initiatives in the Middle East.
• Provide ad‑hoc support to partners, associates and delivery teams as required.

Required profile

• Minimum 72 months (6 years) of experience in finance law, debt finance, restructuring or ENRI sectors.
• Proven ability to draft complex security documents and legal opinions.
• Strong analytical skills and a track record of monitoring legislative changes.
• Experience working in cross‑border teams and collaborating with senior lawyers.
