KYC CDD Analyst (UAE National)

About the role

HSBC is seeking a UAE National to join its International Wealth and Premier Banking team in Al Ain as a KYC Customer Due Diligence (CDD) Analyst. The role supports the bank’s anti‑money‑laundering, sanctions and CDD programmes and contributes to the overall review of customer portfolios in line with global and local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide guidance on Financial Crime Risk Management activities, including KYC, CDD, AML and sanctions.
• Act as Subject Matter Expert for AML, sanctions and CDD matters and escalate critical issues.
• Collaborate with Relationship Managers, compliance teams and branch AML managers to ensure timely and accurate portfolio reviews.
• Maintain policy and process compliance, delivering high‑quality due‑diligence and enhanced due‑diligence reviews.
• Prepare and present project updates, management information and risk monitoring reports.
• Identify process‑improvement opportunities to increase operational efficiency.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge of banking operations, financial risk and compliance principles.
• Ability to quickly learn new policies, procedures and jurisdictional guidance.
• Strong analytical and decision‑making skills, capable of handling crisis situations.
• Proactive, business‑oriented mindset with the ability to prioritize conflicting demands.
• Graduation degree (required for UAE visa/work permit).
